It's just courtesy to say "gg" at the end of the game.

There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want
“Humanism means that the man is the measure of all things...But it is not only that man must start from himself in the area of knowledge and learning, but any value system must come arbitrarily from man himself by arbitrary choice.” - Francis A. Schaeffer
Not when winning and when the opponent doesn't say it first. Go watch a few dozen matches in tournaments and you'll see the loser says it and the winner says it afterwards. You'll notice that there are rules in kespa and gsl that state you're not allowed to say it without the loser saying it first. I feel like you people don't know shit about the competitive scene in ANY game, ever. There are rules against this stuff for VERY good reason. Because it isn't sportsmanlike to gloat like that. You might not see it as gloating, but that's exactly how others see it.
Yes, modern FPS' are only multiplayer. How could I forget such multiplayer only titles such as DOOM, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Bioshock Infinite, the recent Farcry games, the Metro 2033 games.
Curse modern videogames, I was born in le wrong generation!! DAE TIL!!
This game is clearly a multiplayer only title but don't pretend this is the standard FPS formula.
Don't even see why a game like this needs all chat, you could argue it's to say something after the game has ended but then again heroes doesn't have it and I don't miss it after the core blows up.
Should have had just team chat and party chat.
I stopped saying good game ages ago cuz of this reason. I rather say "well played" instead.
i Played a lot of sport growing up and we would shake hands and say GG after every match no matter what the outcome, win loss, blow out. So no i dont get upset at all when people say GG when i win or lose. I take it as a courteous gesture. Anyone that doesnt probably never played a sport in their life and probably gets triggered on the internet way too easily.
GG EZ, or EZ i suppose is being a sore winner though.
Saying GG after the game ends when your team literally wrecked them is just trolling. It wasn't a good game for them, only for you, its like rubbing salt in the wound. What is insulting is when a team is winning and says GG before the game is over (like 1 minute left), I really enjoy coming back and winning after they say that.
I usually leave the game as soon as the Victory/Defeat pops up. Jump into new queue, save some time, avoid some dumb messages. Maybe wait a couple of seconds to see if I got play of the game.
GG is pretty common and accepted response at the end of a match. EZ is usually reserved for a member of the winning team that had the least impact on the game.
I'm pretty sure that the first time 2 cavemen fought the guy who won probably grunted the equivalent to "GG" to the guy bleeding on the ground.
I personally only type "gg" if both teams have fought bravely and could've been won/have won by a simple mistake like a misplaced Junkrat grenade or barely missing on one of Pharah's rockets. Getting a control map and having 1 point each and by the time of ending the third round with 99/99 and then, just then manage to win/lose, I type "gg" for what it should stand for: "good game".
Obviously, some are sour when I type it, but I do it with good intentions.

I'll steal that for my signature.

EVERYONE should say GG after a game, winning or losing.
...I don't know why, but they should!
Exactly like this it started back in the day of CS Beta. You said it as the loser team, and then the winner replied it. Thats courtesy and fine.
If you say GG as the winner, you're just gloating because 'you had a good game'.
If the loser says GG, he had fun despite losing, or respected the game and calling it a good game. Then you can answer with your reply "yes it was a good game", which shows respect.
If you stay in your current game you get bonus xp for consecutive matches.
Just report them. Like all large multiplayer games, it's an automated system. They'll get banned soon enough.
