I LOVE all of the 1 star reviews "OMG DON'T BUY IT OVERPRICED WAIT FOR PRICE DROP YAY!"
I'll definitely be waiting for aftermarkets and their reviews...
The prices for them will come down in a few weeks won't it? :S
Wondering if i should just wait till next month, tbh even buying another 970 would offer more performance at over half the price :S
Yes, the price will come down.
This is the initial launch and since the hype is real... yep. The price is up in the sky. Frankly, the full amount of cards have not even been released yet, it's a very limited initial batch (very typical) and thus they know they can charge more. GTX 1080 > 970 SLI, btw.
Just wait - the price WILL come down once the market is more saturated with the products, plus the Founders Edition is stupid.
Yeah, I am going to be holding off until non reference models are out. I get a nice big fat pay cheque at the end of June, so hopefully the prices have leveled out and custom coolers are available. I'd like to avoid not wanting to water block it if possible, I see that most of the manufacturers are going with closed loop cooler options, which is what I am thinking. Hopefully we start seeing cards out by early July.
I always hear "don't worry about price, it's gonna go down, just relax", and then I look at Intel's latest releases, and they've barely dropped in price at all, like the equivalent of maybe $10 in difference.
Personally, I remain skeptical of the concept that these guys should feel compelled to lower their prices at any distinct tempo at all.
Supply and demand...
There just are not that many cards yet. So shops can ask what they want... And people are actually buying them... I don't know what I think is worse...
[H] wrote another hate piece.. I dont know whats going on there, but there is a lot of hate...
Nah, that is just a random number.
He is just pissed about something and putting it on paper. The same with his AMD piece the day before.
