Human stupidity is certainly impressing at times.

    1. Impressed by how theoretical physicists came up with the basis for quantum mechanics starting in the fucking 1800s and had ideas for functional atomic weapons by the 1930s. Baffles my mind.

    2. The mental gymnastics some people are capable of when pressed.

    3. How some right-wingers exhibit sociopath levels of indifference to human suffering and don't have a problem with that.

Kids with good manners. Stuck in a shop most days, I see all sorts of tyrants, but we get the odd one that is refreshing.
A young girl <10 had her head stuck in a book whilst walking around weeks ago, kept quiet & parents said that once she is holding a book, you don`t hear a peep from her.

Well I guess so. I'm also not so fluent in cyka blyat and sauerkraut.... (I'm fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English)

It probably runs in the family, as my mom is fluent in 4 languages (same as me + French) and my sister 3 (Finnish, English, Spanish) as well. My dad only speaks Finnish and my other sister Finnish + English... they probably share the same linguistics genes

Considerate people. Very noticeable in traffic and grocery stores.

They definitely are doing some historic stuff, I'm honestly putting it up there with landing on the moon type historic, but it looses it's awe factor really quickly when they are on their 4th one now.

It is in the U.S. Lol. Half the population isn't even fluent in one.

Well that is to be expected mate. Unlike Europe, we don't have a different national language every three feet.

Why are you studying Swedish? Are you moving to Sweden? Swedish has to be easiest language in the world. Especially for a German speaker.

I am planning to, yes - also, it's a really nice language in my opinion. I am not sure about the easiest, but as a German speaker, it is definitely easier to learn than - for example - French. Lots of similarities etc.

Women who can sing opera to a decent standard.

And by impressed, I mean turned on, a beautiful operatic voice can cover many flaws.

The food at my local pub, granted it's fairly expensive and caters for the 'well to do' country set, but I don't think we've ever had a less than perfect meal there. Their steaks are nigh on perfect and the deserts are to die for.

Lots of similarities? It's pretty much the same language (minus the German word order thingy). Just change everything with -ich to -ig and you are done for the most part.
