Violence over politics is wrong period. The nutter outside of the school didn't deserve to be hit. He deserved to have much worse happen to him because of all the hatred and vitriol that he has unleashed with his actions. I was pointing out the hypocrisy that the other person was saying "words are just words, they can never hurt you" by pointing out that by threatening someone, words become more than just words.

He didn't threaten anyone, though. Unless you, of course think he was threatening to rape people that is.

He walks around with that sign and worse all the time, there are tons of youtube videos of him and his group. Every once in a great while a punch will be thrown, and the cops almost always show up. The cops recognize what he is doing is completely legal and usually at the most escort him and his group away.
