I'd recommed getting a second monitor (or use the old one as secondary) as it relly helps to have a a second screen where you can monitor what you are streaming.

How about something like this, mind you the GPU is a placeholder, i'd get the 1070 (if the reviews are good, check in about 2 weeks!)

For streaming/twitch i would seriously consider 2 monitors, but the second one doesn't have to be anything special.

Do something like this + whatever you want as main monitor. If I were to recommend one of those 2560x1440 144Hz monitors I'd recommend this thing which is pricey.

If I were to recommend something based on image quality then we have to go VA with LCDs due to contrast reasons and then I'd recommend this thing.

If I were to recommend something based only on gaming experience then I'm positive that going ultra-wide would be better but it doesn't go well with streaming due to the different aspect ratio.

Whatever you choose, having a secondary display to read twitch-chat and set-up your things is a good idea. Mouse and keyboard are extremely subjective and I have no idea what you'd prefer.

Yeah, 2 is more than fine for the average streamer. One of them with the game and the other with the streaming software/twitch chat etc.

Because it doesn't make any difference whatsoever for what OP wants to use the computer.

Because it's 2x the cost with almost no actual real world benefits. A whopping 15% boost in 4K read, and a mind blowing 8% in write. Lets see.. $150 or $320... For a virtually non-existant boost.

(Eagerly awaiting the 'b-b-but muh max seq read/write speeds!')

Leave high refresh 1440p gaming monitors with g-sync/free-sync and grab one of those samsung's. You won't regret it.

I think a lot of PC's look good here, only thing I would recommend is not to get a headset but just a pair of quality headphones as you will buy a separate mic anyway.

I personally wouldn't recommend a Skylake processor if you're at 3k budget, much less an i7 Skylake processor. That particular pricebracket, with the X99's 5820k coming so close in price while sporting more physical cores, makes the i7 Skylake seem like dumpster from my pov...

Artorius' PC part picker list is pretty solid. I'd peg it somewhere similar.

I'm not sure what to expect from the new Intel processors yet; if they're too overpriced for a meager performance increase I'd stick with the 5820k...

I would like to include a monitor, keyboard, headset, and mouse within that budget. Ideally, this would have the new GTX 1080 in it as well. I'm looking to start streaming soon and making some youtube content, so a large hardrive would be ideal as well.

Thank you all in advance, you're the greatest!
Have you checked out the Build of the Month link on the home page?

I believe the total for the unicorn is around ~$2k, so if you were to base it on that, you would save a whopping $1k!

You dont need 3 screens for anything else than simulators... in any other game they are gimmick and useless waste of performance.
For streaming and video editing 2 screens is more than enough... but if you are hardcore streaming then you would get another computer entirely for the stream so it wont affect gameplay.

They don't have the L4 cache which is the only thing that would make them incredibly more powerful. Like the 5775C.

Whoever recommends these "gaming" headsets should seriously delete his account and never come back. That's fucking disgraceful. Any sennheiser/superlux headset + free standing mic combo (even budget ones such as Samson Go Mic) will shit on these krakens, clouds or other shitty "products", for less money as well...
