Most people here are just going to play devil's advocate assuming you are as awful as most of the people who play that you are complaining about to begin with.

Pugs have been very sketchy ever since the general raid difficulty ramped up. (ie. no naxx2.0/ICC/DS)

Still trying to kill this boss via pug. I stuck through though. I went with a semi-guild run for 5 attempts til they quit and now I'm with a small collective of friends and pugs. This will be our 4th attempt with several replacements.

At least I'm accomplishing something running my alt through LFR for tomes.

At OP, just dont let it get to you. The majority isnt even expected to do normal. A lot of organized raiders have also taken breaks with how long the content drought is.

It's very easy to inflate ilvl just by getting a 2nd legendary ring. The system thinks you could wear both at the same time, the vast majority of those who queue as 730+ have an equipped gear of 5-7 less ilvl, depending on how upgraded their offspec ring is.

I was about to scream bloody murder about this "exploit" but then I remembered most hybrid raiders have 2 rings anyway already.

On the 3 logs you linkedL:

The first is heroic xhul, and you are playing a pad spec so of course your damage is higher. Spoilers, no-one is going in and bothering to change to fire for heroic xhul because noone cares about ranking on heroic and because of how absurd ring and burst is, the boss will die shortly after ring if 740 mages were actually bothering with the boss. Also note the constant padding damage on adds you don't want to transition to chain casting at the same time

Even further, notice how the highest ilvl in the group is 730? Not the multiple 740's you claim to constantly out shine? Also a lot of people that are your ilvl are beating you where the fight matters.

Only one of the logs you link vaguely supports your "i can beat 740 characters on %" and that is because you are padding with fire on a fight no one plays fire on (heroic xhul). You are not some incredible player showing everyone how it is done.
