Trumpers rationalize Trump's obviously illegal activity (being investigated by several attorneys general - and trial coming up in NY) as equating to Hillary's faux "investigation" but a purely political committee, and claim they are the same - when they are, but any rational definition, not the same at all.

The bigger problem is the Trumpers don't care about logic and reason - they prefer the basely and empty one-liners Trump throws out.
