Reasons? Mage op as fuck as always cause blizz loves mages as a pure dps class. The rest are just there because I needed 4 more.

I am not sure of the order and I haven't done any testing or number crunching, but I do have reasons!

Arcane mage (they are tinkering with the spec a lot and mages always tend to have at least one competitive spec)
Melee hunter (hunters are like mages, they always tend to have a good spec and now gnomes can be hunters)
DH (new kid on the block tends to be op, at least at launch)
Outlaw rogue (new spec, will be a lot of interest in it- Blizz will want to make sure it does not flop)
Shadow priest (spec has been completely reworked, blizz won't make it weak)

I know I didn't have seven, but I did have reasons.

1 - Arcane - Being free of the old mastery has probably cemented it's place at the top, providing equal gear and a non heavy movement fight

2 - Fury Warrior /Fire Mage - Most likely the last raid tier when it has enough crit.

3 - Frost Dk /Unholy - Unholy will most likely be AoE King, Frost Cleave and high burst.

4 - Enhancement - With the recent changes, i hope it's around here. And I'm sure as long as you maintain uptime on doomwind and other buffs and maximize your burst window, perhaps even higher now that there's no downtime. With enough mastery, Haste i assume Stormstrike procs back to back will be a big factor.

5 - I'm gonna lump Demo / Afflic Warlock, Ele Shaman and Shadow priest here, with the ramp up time needed for full dps. Target switching fights only hurt them, lack of AoE too in cases for demo and shadow.

6 - Hunters / Destro - The guys that got the RNG slapped on can only hurt them.

7 - Monk / Rogues - Feels incredibly slow to me, might change with enough haste but as of now too much downtime. Windwalker has a shit mastery that forces downtime, outlaw has a super RNG roll the dice, and the other two specs suffer from energy starvation.

Not sure where to place Ret / Arms / Frost mage or Druids. I've not included Demon Hunters for obvious reasons.

Ok just putting this out there, Arcane's changes will limit their ability to shine till later patches.

Just doing some testing, Demon hunters will be in the top 7. Yes most of my testing has been 5 mans heroics and some mythics, but other classes that are 10-15 item levels higher I was able to keep up with them barely doing more. If I was in comparable gear, ideally I would most likely passed them up.

After the classes get tuned, and you see the PTR or pre patch testing starts you will then see a lot of Simcrafting going on.

The most common classes to be around top will not change.

Arcane will be the top but only the best will get the most out of it. The rest of the retards won't know how to play it properly and will fall back to easy mode frost.

Sub will beat outlaw by about 3%. The rogue community will abandon fun and go with Sub and under perform. Every guide will say that sub is the best. No guide will say that sub is only the best for good players. The rest of the tards should have gone outlaw cause it is easier to play.

Destro will be best for the cleave fights and will put up the highest numbers of all classes. Demo will be best for single target fights. Warlocks will actually play "the right spec" for the right fight. Rest of the world will be stunned into disbelief that warlocks are not as retarded as mages.
