    Inquisitors?

Inquisitors? Jailers? Felbats? Are there yet any snips of info about them? What are their positions among the Legion, where did they come from, what is their story and powers? Any lore?

Inquisitors are mid-level intelligence officers, likely under Kil'jaeden's command, and seem to used for the purposes of ferreting out information from the Legion's enemies and keeping a watchful eye on their mortal allies (they're all over Suramar keeping watch on the Nightborne). Jailers are pretty much what it says on the tin - they imprison the Legion's enemies and also seem to siphon their souls and/or other energies for the Legion's purposes. There are relatively few of them on Azeroth, but they're quite prevalent on Legion-occupied worlds and outposts.

Felbats just seem to be Legion infantry and cavalry transports - probably a mutated flying creature made demonic for that purpose alone. They don't seem to have any intrinsic powers special to their race (they instinctively use Shadow and Fel magic abilities to defend themselves, standard demonic armament) nor much background lore.

Blizzard just really wanted to use the Lich skeleton again.

An Inquisitor is, in essence, just a type of lich.

Inquisitors are demons, who have souls bound/tethered to the Nether, which is separate from the physical realm of existence. Liches have their souls bound/tethered to phylacteries, which exist in the physical realm of existence.

I could see the Inquisitors being a twisting form of Eredar. Like how the Wrathguards are Eredar who have been twisted to serve in combat the Inquisitors too could be Eredar who had their eyes removed to become powerful spellcasters by Sargeras to see into people's minds.

Interesting, eredar liches? Could always be.

Now the big question is why, lorewise, there weren't any of these demons during the Third War, or in Outland.

The Eredar seem to be a wide range of spell casters, priests, warlocks and mage with a strong warlock influence. Eredar Liches could be what the Inquisitors are, but I think they are a different kind of evil

-Yep, just checked. They have their own skeleton.

Basically because they were not made up yet

But then, legion has many many types of demons beyond what we know or have now available, they could have been there too.

Also interesting is that the Inquisitors are the only Burning Legion agents that use Frost magic - specifically a spell called "Shadowfrost Shard" in addition to Shadow magic, making their repertoire more Lich-like than standard demon Fel, Fire, and Shadow effects. Not sure if the spell is just a placeholder in the Beta, but it seems kind of odd for a demon to be using Frost magic.

Again, just repeating what I said above. Inquisitors may be very Lich-like, possibly the "ancestors" if the Liches we know on Azeroth (seeing that the Scourge is a branch of the BL in a sense). But inquisitors have an entirely unique skeleton and animations. They aren't using a Lich skeleton.

Coming from WoD where everything on Draenor was a reskin and remodel, I cannot begin to express how absolutely stunned I am that nearly every creature in Legion is a new skeleton, or an old one so refined and animations changed that it's nothing short of a direct upgrade.

The Imp-mothers for example. A Therazane Reskin you say? Not at all, they have double the amount of animations than she did back in Cata. This expansion is seriously looking to be the best one yet.

They use the banshee skeleton I think. At least its a modified one.

They seem to have taken the place of Succubi though, you dont see many of them this expansion. Same thing with Shivaara, besides with the Illidari.
