A BBC investigation has found young migrants, including teenagers, are resorting to prostitution in the Greek capital, Athens.Authorities say nearly 60,000 migrants are currently in Greece scattered in various camps across the Aegean islands and the mainland.

Most are keen to get to northern Europe but new border rules have left them stranded, with no legal means of earning money.

Pretty unfortunate the lengths some people are forced to go.

This isnt really limited to greece, this happens everywhere in such situations.

This will cause clashes with the existing prostitutes - since the new ones are likely less educated and will thus try to enter the market by offering lower prices (and additionally the increased supply would naturally decrease prices). Similarly with migrants that are EU-citizens from the poorer countries searching for some job in more wealthy countries.

Then what's stopping them from going to the authorities and applying for asylum in Greece? They would rather starve on the off-chance that they might get to Sweden or Germany than apply for asylum anywhere else.
These people are not true refugees and they deserve to suffer the consequences of their actions. I have 0 pity for them.

Sweden for example can't find housing for migrants anymore, and waiting lines for family reunification can get as high as 2 years. How is their situation going to be better there?

They will just swarm into middle eastern ghettos and do the same thing they were doing in Greece. You have to understand that some of these people are so dumb that they will put their lives in peril for the novelty of reaching Northern Europe. Encouraging this type of behaviour won't help them in any way.

There is a reason we call it the oldest profession in the world. Also, depending on where in Europe you find yourself it might not be illegal either.
