No one denies thats stupid but at the same time, whos to say a bunch of radical muslims wouldn't go and Charlie Hebdo up the twitter offices if they actually allowed it?

We shouldn't be shitting on twitter for wanting to keep their employees safe. I'd choose my employees lives over letting someone type "Fuck Islam" any day of the week on my site, even if I absolutely despise Islam.

Its all well and good saying "i won't let some radical muslims dictate what i say for fear of death" until you get someone you love or care about and they're at risk too. Its just plain irresponsible letting people verbally dissent against a group of people known for violently blowing up and shooting up the work places of those who do. You're basically saying your principles are worth more than your employees lives.

Yes, its cowardly, and giving in, but being stoic in the face of death is not only dumb, it deserves a darwin award - to do that, but also put others at risk, is worthy of several dozen darwin awards.

Islam is a cancer that isn't going to be stopped because someone made a satirical comic or posted a dissenting tweet - don't put your life at risk to poke fun. The thing that will kill Islam (as it has done to every other previous religion) is time and education on a mass scale. It will take this generations Islamic mothers and fathers being less serious about Islam, then the next, then the next, and so on. Until eventually Islam means nothing more than what Christianity is in America for example - saying occasionally "god bless" and hoping he chimes in on a football game and empowers your chosen team.
