the main reasons I see toxicity raise its head.
Turret builders get the better of the opposite team with better placement and play, yes it is cheesy to sit behind a trollborjn reading facebook and fixing your turrets whilst racking up kills and getting potg, and yes we have ALL done it, or will do it at some point.
Full teams of turret builders, Ughh. They can be dealt with with a co-ordinated group, but pub games are rarely co-ordinated enough, and rarely listen to hints given on chat on how to deal with / switch to toons.
DPS characters screaming for tanks or healers, If a tank or healer asks for the opposite role then I will happily switch over to Mercy or Rhienheart a DPS starts screaming for someone else to switch, then they get told that they should consider switching.
People crying about loosing when they didn't even bother to attack the objectives, this makes me laugh every single time. Due to the way I play Tracer, harassing the team from all angles I get to see our rear defence, the objective, and the opposing teams rear and flanks through out the whole match. The ones that usually start crying ? the high health characters that sit back from the objective trying to pick people off from range.
99% of the time, I will say WP, GG etc even if we loose badly. only time I really loose it is when people bitch about loosing and they never put any effort in, Then they get polity told that if they had helped we may have done better
recent example on volskyer: we took point A in under 2 mins and I thought it was going to be a nice quick game and onto the next map, but then my team decides to start heading down the main choke point, Not a bad tactic if you have tanks, healers and dps working as a team however once our tank died, and the team crumbled they start running in once by one basically feeding the opposite team free kills /facepalm. I ask people to wait, group up and try going down the side routes whilst I would go down the opposite side drawing fire as Tracer to allow them to get close enough to attack as a group. I get told to "shut the fuck up as I didn't know what I was talking about." and other such nonsense, so I just spent the rest of the match just messing around getting some practice in on killing turrets, The last 30 seconds as we head into over time the team gets its act together and makes a proper push on the objective almost making it. I ask "why could we not do that at the start" when I was running back and was told again to STFU and what had I done. Had to smile when I got onto the stats screen with 30+ eliminations.
There really is no reason for saltiness in the game, it is just poor sportsmanship from bad players.
