ut oh... you've opened the can, now the worms streaming all over.
The pursuit of happiness can also serve as ground to deny certain trade.

    They are close, yes.
And in the ultimate "who would you vote for today" approach, she leads, but within the margin of error.
Was closer though, and keeps drifting apart.

More GOP folks in the primaries voted against him than for him. If the system wasn't FPTP its likely he wouldn't even be the nominee.

Trump was far more recognizable to the American populace compared to the other Republican potential nominees, except maybe for Jeb. That recognition, combined with GOP constituent dissatisfaction and never less than three opponents led to his nomination. Going against one opponent, who is also recognizable, is a different ballgame.

unfortunately I think there are more irrational people who will vote Trump than not

Hehe. Well, there have been arguments made like I suggested. But one which involves a clear Constitutional case versus a perceived one is a big difference.

The problem is that what happens in the US can have widespread effects, especially if someone like Trump gets to dictate foreign policy.

Well Chuck Norris was right about the 10,000 years of darkness thing, he just didn't mention there would be intermittant periods of sunlight that lasted for 8-14 hours every day.

No fly lists limit the liberty of the people on that list. Which, if you are set on arguing about constitutional rights, Liberty comes right before Pursuit of Happiness.

And just so we're clear about what Liberty means.

Liberty: the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views.

    Just hypothetically now, of course.

Person A: I invoke my unalienable right for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. And to accomplish that, I need a very very big gun and an airplane ticket.
Person B: I invoke my unalienable right for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. And people with very very big guns and airplane tickets threaten and prevent me from doing so.

So, we're back to square one lol

    We are.

But I am also clear what the 2nd amendment means. Of course that is not a opinion shared by some , but for the most part, the Supreme Court agrees with me. And their opinion counts more than any.
