That sucks. Regardless of whether or not you agree with her when it comes to politics, she was someone's wife and someone's mother.

    Err that already happened: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cumbria_shootings

It sparked some debate regarding revisiting legislation. To my knowledge, that all got talked out but it did prompt some police forces to review and update their licensing procedures. On the whole what I remember from the commentary (I wasn't living in the UK at the time) the debate seemed very balanced.

The current legislation is mainly to do with storage as far as I can tell.

Neither are important to the economy. We could remove them both.
They are important to local economies, so no.

If there is a serious issue, where a cull is needed (not badgers, as that does not fucking work at all), then you hire in trained specialists. I have a friend whose family business is doing just that, he travels all over the UK and Europe doing controlled shoots. No reason for a farmer to own a gun themselves.

Farmers disagree with you and, as neither you nor I are farmers, I will go with what they say.

So next time a fox is killing his chickens that farmer should call your friend and make an appointment?

    I do not believe you.

I was even going to put a "Up next: Houyi claims he is a farmer" at the bottom of my post, but thought nobody would post obvious bullshit like that, apparently I gave you more credit than it appears you deserved.

Shropshire UK, family tenants on farm on the Boyne estate for generations. Not that I really care if you believe me, I know the truth, you just make assertion based on nothing. I'm not a farmer, I personally don't like farming all that much, so went to uni as opposed to agricultural college and got a masters in a totally unrelated field. I do however know a fair bit about farming.

Want me to talk about how you operate a farm? I can do so in quite nauseating detail if you want.

Its easy for you to talk bullshit and hope no one knows more than you, and for you to just say "no I don't believe you" when you are faced with someone who does....but you look a tit, and you mayaswell just talk to yourself in a mirror in that case.
Also, why make an assumption that someone is not a farmer....there are quite a lot of them after all, and why coment on something you are ignorant of as you admit in your post....

Anyway, you are incapable of actual mature debate, so I'll just adopt my policy of putting people like you on ignore and waste no further time on you.

I do not believe you, because claiming to be knowledgeable about farming would have been a far better example than the one you gave in post #484.

And who gives a fuck if you put someone on ignore? Why do people think they have to tell anyone this?

Even if you aren't making things up which is likely on a mmoforum, you're going to presume to speak and know better for all farmers.

nope, and if you need a disclaimer that a post is personal opinion, then I'm going to offer you this free advice "get the fuck off the internet now".
I'll tell you from my experience there is absolutely no reason why you need a firearm. none at all.

As a farmer I would've expected you to understand there's no 100% practical fox proof chicken houses

The killer is far right, the far right are routinely condemned in the UK by all sides of the political spectrum.

The guy's a stupid, crazy asshole who's only managed to give another group of stupid, crazy assholes a free martyr for their causes.
I'm voting Out, but idiots like that only hurt our efforts; now the In crowd have something they can mention whenever cornered in an argument for free points.

Wish our right wing had that kind of sense. Instead they have this weird tribalistic need to protect even the craziest of "their own".
