Did you even read this study? This article is some guy translating another study, basically it says liberals socialist ideology are held by higher IQ people than Religious belief people, BUT for 'verbal intellect' Republicans are better.

He's basically saying, "Well... if you look at it from this angle..." and is twisting the details of the study to repurpose the facts to fit his ideology.

Which just goes to show that you don't even know what the fuck that guy was talking about when he was talking about what someone else was talking about. Now tell me again about IQ levels...

Then tell me where my statement is wrong. Did not the republican party recruit the southern racists via the southern strategy? Do not a large part of the republican base believe Obama is a Kenyan Muslim? Did not a significant part of the republican base see absolutely nothing wrong with the statements Trump made about the Hispanic Judge overseeing his Trump university case? Do not a large fraction of republicans believe man made global warming is a global conspiracy pushed by the scientific community?

I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture. The republican party has spend decades recruiting and cultivating a base that lives in its own distorted reality bubble. Don't get me wrong there are some nutters on the left too. But whereas those nutters make up a tiny fraction of the democratic coalition, the nutters on the right make up at least 1/3 of the republican coalition.

If both are conservatives I don't see the problem. You're a science/tech enthusiast, as long as progress happens there, that is ultimately what matters!

Yes of course.... because as we know the majority of Mexican migrants are rapists and criminals and only a minority of them are good decent people. Not because its true of course, but because if you are republican base voter you are more likely than not to hate anyone who has brown skin, because that is what good white natavist xenophobes do.

And just because someone puts a study up on a website doesn't make it a fact, anyone can make a study and place it on a science website for review, at which point it gets torn to shit by other people in the field. Oh my god, it says what I want it to say and its on the internet! Nobody but the bestest brains in the world are allowed to do that!

There isn't any of course. Just look at his posting history and you can see that he is exactly one of those bigoted, racist, natavist, cranks I was talking about. Oh so much stuff about refugees, transsexuals, and his hatred of the "other".

Really? Cause one just happened and he nose dived. Now if a Mexican came across the border and did a mass shooting then we find out after the dude has an extreme fear of heights Trump could say I told you so and be right. His wall would have stopped that dude.

Sorry I didn't go back and proof read, maybe you should read the forum rules where it talks about correcting spelling and grammar.

He linked you to an actual study. You couldn't even bother to google (but could vomit out a bunch of personal attacks against me), and still haven't linked an actual study. My whole point was that a 2-5 IQ difference in favor of Republicans pretty solidly trashes the notion that IQ is a big determiner of voting in either direction. If one party was dumb and the other smart, you'd see a large difference, not a trivial one.

Maybe he's waiting to get his money back that he loaned out to pay for his bid before he drops out.

You mean the party who wants to address Islam as a problem in the west or the party who want to take away fundamental human rights?

Dozens of delegates to the Republican National Convention have launched an effort to dislodge Donald Trump as the GOP’s presidential nominee next month.

The push, first reported by the Washington Post, is the first attempt by anti-Trump delegates in a handful of states to stitch together their splintered efforts to replace the GOP standard-bearer amid a furor among conservatives over his candidacy and sinking poll numbers.

It’s a longshot effort that’s been largely written off by party leaders and hasn’t drawn prominent support from party donors or elected leaders, but it’s the most organized push to date.

The fantasy world where an Islamic radical just committed the largest massacre in US history because he believed killing gay people is justified (and it is if you read the Quran or listen to Imams). The fantasy world where democrats are trying to prevent people from obtaining firearms without due process.

Oops! Trump Tweets Month-Old Poll Showing Him Almost Not Behind Clinton

As he so often does, Donald Trump on Friday applauded voters for their support, tweeting out a poll with an all-caps "THANK YOU!"

The only thing off was that the survey, which was from May, actually showed Trump trailing Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by two points. His numbers have dropped significantly since then, with Clinton now boasting an eight-point lead, according to TPM's Polltracker Average.

Asked who they would vote for if the general election was held today, 49 percent of respondents to a Gravis Marketing/One America News Network poll chose Trump, compared to 51 percent for Clinton. The survey also appears to have been conducted May 10, although the graphic Trump tweeted carries a June 16 timestamp.

As of Friday afternoon, the top reply to Trump's tweet read simply “uh…”
    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...losing-clinton

Just stunning. And bonus points for those who can point out why this survey is bullshit even back then.

"One America News Network and Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 1,574 registered voters across the United States. The poll was conducted on May 10th and has a margin of error of ± 2.5% at the 95% confidence level. The total may not round to 100% because of rounding. The polls were conducted using automated telephone calls and weighted by anticipated voting demographics. The poll was conducted for One America News Network."
What are we gonna do now? Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?

Here is even more proof Trump is boot stomping Clinton. The Trump subreddit has grown by 30% in just a month alone. Let's not forget all about that social media army of his.

My girlfriend and I were talking about this the other day. It's like they ignored all the mistakes of the past two election cycles and just barreled ahead with the most untenable goon that they could come up with.

The funny thing is, you see the same thing every four years. Republican mouthpieces and supporters claiming how strong support is and how they are going to "take back the white house". McCain and Romney got demolished, as will Trump. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm?
