Chinese developer rips off Overwatch [Steal of the game]

Almost everything is -literally- the same! Male Pharah? Chinese Reinhardt? The graphics are horrendous. Looks like a 2007 Xbox 360 game on crack! I mean, what in the hell was the point of even making this game when Overwatch has been released in China? Seriously?

Remember, in china copyright = it's alright to copy.

Also it is considered to be an honor when someone copies you

    Old new is old.

They also swear that this was all just a tech demo and the actual game will have no visible similarity to Overwatch.

Man, it's funny how little they are even trying to make it look good.

For a mobile game, it's not really that terrible all things considered.

At this point, why even bother wasting time making new skins for them? Might as well go all the way and just c/p the entire game under the new Chinese name...

Why should they care if American businesses lose money? They know we're still gonna keep buying their cheap crap regardless.

Be glad it is only copy.

In some cases, not only would they copy it, they will even claim their designs were the original one and claim western companies copied them.

What good would doing something like this do? Not like either side could sue each other.

I dunno, why does anyone care about following the law?

I mean it's not like this stuff is legal in china and if blizzard makes the effort they can stop these companies from doing that.
However that is an expensive procedure in a murky environment so as long as it doesnt get too big then suing is more trouble than it's worth.

If that shit's illegal there then why do they still clone everything? Do their government not enforce their own laws?

Very old news. Funny though... so blatant copy.

It's obviously being made by devs who do not want to make games.

That's actually kinda cool honestly. I work in a creative field in the US, and copyright/infringement is a big deal. However, I think humanity as a whole benefits from people not owning intellectual rights. It allows for people to progress on ideas freely, and the best iteration wins.

    US is way too strict.
