Gold Weapon preview (Competitive mode reward)

I dont see Torb's molten shrapnel gun in there, just his hammer. Did I miss something there?

For the most part, they look pretty kickass. Genji gets a gold sword and gold throwing stars??? that's awesome lol --- Golden Revolver?! awesome!!

I'm sure they'll continue to offer Comp Rewards, so who knows. Maybe you'll be able to equip your preferred weapon skin with a hero skin and then you get one super badass looking hero.

For the 1st Comp reward though, I think it's cool.

You buy whatever gun you want with the ranked currency you earn, so it doesn't really matter what you play.

If they can make gold versions for all the skins weapon variations that would be cool. Part of the reason skins are so cool is that they change the weapon as well. Would be a shame to use a legendary skin but a gold version of the base model

Some specifically are neat, mcree's seems very fitting for it for instance. Others seem kind of a waste, like my reinhardt skin is already totally gold including the hammer.

Maybe they'll expand on this in the future though, make gold versions of some of the alternate skin versions of weapons or even just access to different colors and being able to use it with different skins.

I do wonder how it works in that case though, if you have a skin with an alternate gun does it get replaced with the default gun in gold or does it make the skins gun gold? Guess we'll see.

Since Reinhardt's Blackhardt and Bloodhardt skins have an axe instead of a hammer, It would be nice if those came in gold as well, but I think the gold would go pretty well with the Blackhardt.

Thats pretty selfish imo.

That statement rubs both ways, friend.

Frankly, it doesn't make much sense to give the best looking cosmetics to players who are usually only going to play at the highest tiers of competitive mode where a.) everyone will have access to those cosmetics and b.) there's nobody to be impressed by them.
