I thought your cloak, and helmet, and shoulders stay hidden if you click on the stay hidden option...does it not? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll try it out on the PTR when I get home.

Also, it's such a minor inconvenience. I love the new Transmog system as a whole because I don't have to stockpile a crap ton of armor in my bank or void storage. Stop complaining about minor inconveniences that are not game-breaking at all.

Yeah can't really understood why they made this change. The option has been there forever with 0 problems and now this new transmog system somehow ruins it?

  4. #44
I do not understand this change either. Hiding the helm, cloak, and now shoulders options seems like an easy thing, like your character taking off the helm, removing the cloak, and removing the shoulders. I wish Blizzard would return these options back to the Options > Display menu instead of running to the transmogrification ethereal to do so.

Do your garrison everyday until prepatch + Kazzak = done.

    You're welcome.

At least my hopes for legion are obviously high if this is one of my only concerns.
Completely agreed. When I first logged into the Legion beta and couldn't find the settings to hide cloak and helm I was like "WUH DUH FUH?!"
Then when I asked trade chat where the settings went, and they told me you have to do it at a T-Mog vendor I was like "WUH DUH FUUUUHHH?!"

Really hope they make these simple settings again, since I'm too poor to afford that transmog vendor yak mount.

What does Kazz do for you? The handful of Felblights that sell for 100G?

They can't care too much, they did give us Monroe's polish.

Free thousands golds ? Isn't that obvious ?

I now understand how people can't even manage to buy the Grand Expedition Yak

I prefer to enjoy myself instead. So please send gold, as you must have plenty.

I get 5 felblight, sometimes 10. So 500-1000G a week (on my server) would be a minimum of 120 weeks aka 2 years. Garrisons I get, I'm running 26 toons pumping me out more gold than I can probably spend in the next 2 expacs.

Kazz just seems pretty small potatoes. But I guess it's a quick 1000G

I think the reason is because they wanted people to have finer control over their appearance sets and since appearance sets are tied directly to transmog they moved those options as well. For instance, I could have a resto set with the helm shown and an enh set with it hidden without having to dive into the option menu to do that each time I swap specs as youd currently have to.

Its not technically transmog but it is a better fit than being grouped with UI options. If anything they shouldprovide an additional check box to keep them hidden regardless.

Interesting thought, and that makes sense. However it would be nice to keep the hide options still in the Options menu for players that keep all of their helms, cloaks, and shoulder hidden all the time or none of the time yet have the same options at the transmogrification ethereal for players that switch them with each set.

It feels like a step backwards to me. You had a permanent setting you could change in your interface since Vanilla at no cost, and now you have to travel to a vendor and pay a fee with every minor upgrade. It seems like a lot of people think that it's minor, but I'd say it's going to get pretty annoying by the time you get around to leveling up any alts.

There will always be some silly looking helms in the mix, and there will always be tiny little cloaks here and there that look like a baby bib hanging off the back of the neck.

I fully support people playing a game and enjoying themselves. But I think you made a pretty big mistake if you half enjoy playing WoW and didn't take advantage of the huge gold making opportunities. Yes, it was a bit of time investment up front. But with as few as four 100s and doing nothing but collecting garrison gold on 3 of them, things like Yaks would be fairly easy to obtain.

They really made it extremely easy for anyone with a half hearted desire to be a millionaire become a millionaire, No gimmicks or trying to screw over other players, just level to 100 and get the garrisons to level 3. Yes, it gets boring at times and sometimes, you just have to put your head down and push through it. But hell, I unsubbed and took 6 month breaks and still made millions

Legion might prove me wrong, but I don't think we'll have another expansion anytime soon where we'll be able to makes lots of gold with so little effort.

Are you one of those people that puts on whatever item that is 1ivl higher than the last? I don't know that I change out a slot more than 3 times during the leveling process. If it's not 15-25 ilvls higher it's not worth the the time to equip it (unless it looks cool) and I have a Yak mount

    The reason is simple.
Blizzard believe that players tend to turn them off for an outfit, rather than toggling it frequently.
Therefore it is applied on a per-outfit basis via the transmog vendor.
Instead of switching to another spec set with a different appearance and then having to change the options, it is done for you with the change of outfit.

Whether that is representative of what players do is another matter.
That is personally what I do, in that the outfit has a look which either suits those or it does not.
Therefore I don't toggle them on and off for a given outfit.

Transmog on the fly without a vendor... problem solved. Also provides a solution for upgrades you can't hide with a menu option.

Hmm. My bad if I'm wrong, I was pretty sure I'd heard in one of the video's I watched that they were tied to spec and not gear? Sorry.
