When I was growing up, I would always hear curious people asking where you were at X time. I remember asking my grandfather where he was when Pearl Harbor happened. I asked my father where he was when Watergate occurred. I've even had people curious where I was when 9/11 occurred - This allows us not to forget these important events. It'll be interesting once I have my own children, and I'm trying to prepare myself. I could picture it now:
'My son, who is young but just now realizing that very important events happened before his birth, looks up at me. He's kicking the dirt around at his feet, you can almost taste his nervousness. He then blurts out the question he yearns for: "Father, where were you when Sword Art Online finished airing?". I try my best to not think about this terrible moment, but I give him the answer he needs.'
Kirito was truly the hero we needed, but sadly, not one we deserved. Asuna was a goddess who we just kicked to the curb. We must right this travesty - we must demand for SAO to return. In this dark time, they must be our light - let's make anime great again.
