I'm not sure it works like that. See, timing is of importance in such a scenario. International law really hates uncertain conditions. So, assume Brexit wins. The initial stage takes up to 2 years, and it's expected that during these 2 years, they will agree to drag out negotiations for an estimated 10 years perhaps. If Brexit wins, Scotland will have to set up another referendum. With a proper run up, that'll take another year. If they win, they'll have to negotiate with England about leaving as well. If England/EU negotiations end before Scotland/England negotiations are over, that membership is terminated and the chapter is closed for good. Anything after that will be a new set of conditions. So any chance Scotland has is to race England to the negotiation. And even then you'd have to do some creative arguing to propose that Scotland, arguably the junior partner of the UK membership in the EU even qualifies as the official successor inheriting all deals made between the UK and the EU.
