The US isn't at risk of becoming economically marginalised or fracturing any time soon.

Actually that's just the political elite, the group of peoplel who's view you always here on the main media networks , but seldom hear the others.

Some of these guys are so dis-ingenious, they don't show the whole truth, they manipulate it, and are not being honest with a lot of us. They use sophistacted language and their positions dishonestly often to push their agenda, often not interested in truth. They dfine truth as whatever people perceive it to be, so then the goal becomes manipulating people to their view rather than informing them of what is the case.

Media and politicians that do that often have no idea what everyone else really feels, but you think everyone thinks so, but no, not everyone does. And people have good reasons too, but often enough others do not listen because they are convinced they are so much smarter and knowledgeable and nothing out of their mouths is worth considering especially when they don't agree with them or like them.

    Officials can lie you know
Media can lie too and often do

But people can make up their minds, surprsingly so (to the elite), aren't always so easy to control.

But as an economically minded person, I do see the abstract theory of sovereignty and how that gets to people. The US would never have been able to join anything like the EU, we hate the idea of even the UN having power over us

Plaid Cymru certainly tried to make it for Remain. Gwynedd went remain by 58ish percent. So my sister can feel a bit good about her vote being at least the winning vote there. But yeah, Wales going mostly for Brexit might change Plaid Cymru's calculus if they want to be the SNP of Wales.

Its different in Wales though, they can't really afford to leave.

Scotland atleast has an argument for being financially stable, well they did before Oil tanked, but Wales doesn't even have that.

The UK could have said something, but they never played any of their muscle in the EU. They were even bullied around by fucking Austria at some point about nuclear energy.

Considering that, despite how unfashionable it is to say, more authoritarian governments are by definition better at governing - it's easy to see why.

When shit like Brexit happens it simply demonstrates that populism is a gigantic waste of everyone's time at best and incredibly destructive at worse.
