Yeah, the funny bit is... in Europe skin colour isn't much of a topic. For some reason it's religion these days. Makes as little sense to me, but what the hey. Dude, we've got communities of black people, and I mean really black as if they just dropped out of Ghana (and sometimes they did). Nobody gives two fucks about their skin colour. I've never heard anyone even comment on it except, well, when I brought it up.

See, it's funny, the only thing peopel notice about our black people is that.. whenever they see another black dude in the bus, they instantly make a beeline for them and they just start talking like two relatives that haven't seen each other for two decades and need to swap family gossip. It's like they all know each other. They do speak a bit of English in between (with one HECK of a thick accent) so I gather they don't actually know each other, they're just being friendly and talk the shit out of the 10 minutes they sit next to each other.

Sometimes I wish we were that friendly to each other. And then I notice someone staring at me and wish he'd just drop out of the bus, because I hate being scrutinized like that. Stupid motherfucker... and then I realise why we're not friendly like that.
