Is broken shore event Pre-patch or Legion?

Pre-expansion patch has the demon invasions in various zones, for example Tanaris.

The Broken Shore scenario is part of the invasion of Azeroth, and it will be available when the pre-patch drops. It's available on the PTR right now, but you can't start it on a premade toon.

Despite what these other two are saying, it is Pre-patch and can currently be played on the PTR. There is also a couple quests after the broken shore which you can do before it leads you to dalaran and starts Legion only content.

Ya know, this is actually a better question than people might expect because I could have sworn at the last Blizzcon a dev directly said, on stage, that the Broken Shore intro would happen before the expansion launched. That we would see "the event that would shake our world" prior to the actual release.

Then again, plans change.

Yeah it's on PTR, you can go and do it now. It's quite fun, but after the WoD abortion anything new is fun.

From what I've seen, the Ulduar stuff and the Scenario inside Karazhan are supposed to happen before moving Dalaran to the Broken Isles, they just don't seem to have that part available yet. Instead it goes straight from Broken Shore aftermath/funerals to teleporting Dalaran. His speech even mentions the things they learn from the Kara Scenario.

Yeah can confirm you can do it on the PTR...maybe. My friend was able too, I was not. Couldn't get the quest for the life of me.
