Blizzcon, What will come of Warcraft?

I don't see why they would go straight to Diablo IV. After all, what's going to hold over their community for the next 2-6 years?

They would have been working on that for a while now... if they announce it will probably be released after 6 months.

i feel its too early for a D4 probably a d3 expansion reason why they didnt cap it at 99 like d2 they want to make simple expansions for 80 and 90

An expansion.

My dream would be an open world RPG like Skyrim/Fallout set in Sanctuary, but they'd need to be hiring a ton of people for a project of that scope - and Fallout 4 took what, 5 years to make? I don't expect this at all.

I just don't see Blizzard jumping into another MMO. It would compete too much with their flagship WoW.

If it's a new kind of game, I'd look at what kinds of games they don't have, that are popular, and then allow for a hybrid. Like New Doom/Fallout. Consider potential eSport involvement (although demons and such are kind of wierd in an eSport environment).

Short term, an expansion makes sense. They sold a LOT of copies of D3, so they have a big market to sell into. D4...would be nice, but it will be a while, so I vote for an expansion, because we'll get it sooner. And, why not both? An expansion to set up the lore/story of a new game. One comes out between announcement and Xmas, and the other comes out in 2018.

I think they announce a new game this year. 25th year of Blizzard, 10th year of Blizzcon. It's gonna be something big. My money is on Warcraft 4.

True it will be a dull Blizzcon from a WoW fan perspective but at the same time let's also not act that this is the first such blizzcon. there's been "wow tame" blizzcons before.

Good thing I'm a fan of their other games -- well not so much hearthstone and only so so with HotS...but the rest I like.

Imo they should just update all the outdated textures and models to keep the game up to par with the newer graphics and such. In the pre-patch they updated some of the smaller critters (have you seen the adorable new bunny?) and the bear models which look AMAZING. Just need the rest of the critters and outdated NPC creatures then the world textures. They could even do something like cataclysm again and add new textures along with that. I still have hope that WoW won't die! It has at least another few years ahead of it now anyway. Oh, and I can say that we will MOST LIKELY and HOPEFULLY get our goblin and worgen models!

I know that it would be a huge pain to do all that but... Never lose hope guys!

I don't think Diablo will ever see new expansion. Seasons will keep it "fresh" for a long time.
