Q is useless with turrets everywhere autoaiming the tire to pieces instantly. Even with more Junks all they could basically do is throw grenades over walls hoping to kill a turret but the Tors would just make new turrets constantly. Go into the line of fire and you get so much autoaimed damage that you die instantly. And, if you get anywhere, the Tors just start using MC and it's game over.

We didn't even get A. I mean, nowhere near really. I hung around there a bit while the rest of the team was dead but then it was my turn to die.

I don't mind having a couple of the same characters and even six of the same characters can be funny in a silly way every now and then, because rest of them aren't really that good. But Torbjörn is just amazing if you know how to play it. Twoshotting people from a mile away with the handgun, or shotgunning tanks to bits if they get too close, plus there's the turret.

And honestly, Torbjörn is basically a really great character regardless of map. Defend A B maps obviously, whether points or point and escort. Attack escorts it's great. Take and hold maps are basically defense maps again, so obviously it rocks there. Attack A B is the only place where people really whine about it, but if you know where to plop out a turret to give firepower to a point assault, it's amazing. Especially with MC. A well placed turret and an MC can wipe everyone from a point and help to hold it through the cap.

It's funny too, seeing people take Genji and Tracer, and a sniper, then later start bitching to me about me using Torbjörn, when I take gold medals in damage and eliminations, as well as often objective kills and time, in an attack map, when we've got three characters doing abysmal damage (harassers and snipers.)

So yeah, knowing how good it is, I just can't imagine how you could win against six of them, unless the people using them are really, really bad in comparison.

I've been favouring playing Symmetra on defend maps lately. I had a very fun match with her today in Hollywood by putting her teleporter at the top of the moving platform. The enemy team either didn't see it or simply couldn't reach it in time to destroy it. I should play around with Bastion or Tjorborn and do the same trick there as well.

Another good place for it is behind the bushes and in the little alcove behind the point. It's out of LoS so there's no callout for it being spotted.

    level 80ish

Game has become unfun. I've reached my low skill ceiling and my lack of immediate improvement, and a general ignorance regarding how to actually get better, has left me bitter in Every single match, we've won? I'm sitting here wondering why I can't get a quad environmental kill like the other lucio, or why I'm always the idiot dying. It's all me, I don't know how to improve and that fact is ruining what little pleasure there is
Wrath baby and proud of it

You sound very bitter.. why in gods name are you playing a game that according to you gives you "very little pleasure"?
Maybe its time to go play something else?

    Not in my experience.

Played competitive, got scored wrong, but I must say people were far more willing to play tank/healer that you would otherwise see in QM.

Neither in mine, won more every day in the past 2 weeks except for yesterday when I was fucking around with Dva which I really can't play. Lost 4 games in a row because of that + team mates with double hanzo + genji on defence :P.

    O well!

Still funny how people keep blaming other things then them self's.

So you only played 10 and it counted 11? Did you get DC'd or something or a game failed to create etc..?

  17. #1097
Yep literally finished my placement games then logged off to go to bed. No DC's, no leaving; from me anyway.

There was an Anubis game where we attacked and took it in what was 2 mins max, and 5 enemies proceeded to leave on the switch.

I started doing the placement matches last night.

I don't know, but imho somthing is completely broken atm. I'll just bring all data in a list, to everyone drag its conclusions.

    - prefix: i'm not a good/pro played, and don't pretend to be one. I expect to be paired with similar skilled teammates and opponents.

    - played 7 games, all lost. No good fights, got steamrolled from start to end. Had an ElDorado match that lasted 4 minutes each round. Not exactly what i call a balanced match.

    - had all games missing either tank/healer/both until i was getting one.

    - levels don't count for s***, but until last two games, i was paired with people all in the 30-50 bracket more or less (me being 37) while opponents had usually 75+, one or more 100+ and the one guy at low level (<25). I expected more of a mixup.

    - found a couple of teams definitely on my level. Too bad teammates weren't. At all. Had a Gibraltar game where defense had usual bastion/torbjorn combo after the first underpassage and evey single one of my companinons just kept running under there just to be mowed by the crossed fire. While i just too the stairs on the left and jumped on them from above 3 times. As Reinhardt. Killing bastion/breaking the turret most of the times (and then die since all their team was there, but that's not an issue, it's good play).

    - most people didn't change hero at all through all game, ignoring counters and everything else basically. Managed to get a gold medal with 11 kills as Roadhog.

    - took Junkrat. Another guys took Junkrat. A third guy took Junkrat. Switched to Reinhardt, which i managed to score again a gold medal on kills.

All of these are examples. I'm not mad about losing - i'm baffled at how. It looks like i've played with people who firstly picked the game and against people who knows how it works. It's only obvious you're going to lose.

And before all the "git gud", again, i know i'm not good. Thus expect to get competitive matches against other not good people.

Not exactly. People underestimate the value of Mercy her ulti in competitive play which revolved mostly around coordinated group pushes. While Lucio is obviously very powerful, and his ulti can be a gamechanger when going for a push, I've had too many games completely turned on their heads because of clutch Mercy resurrections.

People underestimate the gamechanging potential of a good Mercy because Lucio indeed plays himself. He's an easy hero with a strong toolkit.

If you get matched with people of equal skill you won't "git gud". To "git gud" you have to play against people better than you
