Essentially it's about women stealing sperm from men to get pregnant, apparently some women even get gay friends to steal sperm from other gay men for them. I mean I heard of these wacky stories before but never thought about it but surely isn't this a criminal activity?

Not all that surprising, given how US child support laws tend to work out. There's definitely incentive there to abuse it for financial gain, and I imagine it would be quite difficult to fight it in court and actually prove theft.

Don't know if its just urban legends but I have heard stories of that over the years online. I guess when you look at it from the rule of law, you are the biological father and hence must pay child support. I don't think there is a law in most countries that prohibit women from collecting semen and inseminating herself without the permission of the male that produced it.
