Yeah, we don't want to overdo it. I do need my victory though.

This case looks so awesome!

A bit of a waste of money since the Ti cards tend to be just as good for gaming, but if those were out the stock and you had the money to spare, then I agree with your decision of "fuck it"
Actually, that's about par for the course for a Titan.
No, I'm pretty sure #yolo is the appropriate mentality for that purchase.
Mine was in the same ballpark a few years ago, and it's still maxing out games like witcher 3 at 1440p.
I think it's better to splurge and just go high end, and stick with the same setup for longer instead of incremental upgrades. It'll play everything up until 2020 at the very least.

I'm still not sure if I should just pick the 1080 and the i7-6700k. The motherboard and cooler is still up for debate, I would like a AIO cooler since a big air cooler blocks other components from being visible and a custom liquid system is too expensive. The motherboard was red and had some nice features but I might just see if something else is out there. I usually start searching for a case and then quickly throw some stuff together and fine tune it later on.
I have another ssd laying around and it's weird but some products don't have prices if you select US. Taxes in the Netherlands are no joke though. a 1070 is going for €530+ and the 1080 for €800+

You're not even allowed to say it as a joke.
I don't know. Titans are too expensive for me to look at
Nope. Was not. The appropriate mentality is "No such thing as overkill"

Fucking casual with a 1070. My GPU is better than that! (If only slightly)
If you're going to go with a 10X0 serious GPU, go with a 1080. CPU doesn't matter too much for games though, so don't worry about it too much. Unless of course you do CPU bound stuff on it.
Eh, better than being the asshole neighbour you're forced to play with
