That's because you're too casual to be selected for the early download.

That being said does anyone where this shit gets downloaded to? Was afk and now I need to delete it for space, TOPKEK.

I think it gets downloaded through out the WoW Folder, but don't quote me on this.

I have it too. (EU btw) I was like wtf when i saw it, i tought it was beta or something but my guessing is that it's downloading whole Legion content and we will have a small update just before the release and the game will be ready to be played.

Actually that has changed quite some time ago. Not sure about the exact date or so, but it has been like that for a while now.

Restarted the client and the download is gone + the space on my SSD is back up to where it was before

all it says for me is , fetching patch manifest for the last half hour or so , is there a way to see progress of download of some sort ? ( eu ) server btw , oh and grayd out play button

They haven't. Every single time they announced the end of the PvP season 2 weeks in advance and then announced the new patch for the day the pvp season ends.

Why would you waste SSD space on WoW? It makes load times a it faster and offers no FPS improvements.

Load times are WAY faster with SSD, at least 2x sometimes 3x faster.
