life would be so much better if it was impossible to make money from twitch streaming. Like you had to actually work and edit youtube videos, render them , record footage, voice over etc. Instead of just press "start streaming" on OBS and collect money. Imagine a world on twitch without donations only $5 subscribe button. What a wonderful life. Yes cam girls on twitch make me rage. I wish i could sit on my ass playing video games for 12hrs a day and make $3000+ a month. Twitch is a hate/hate sometimes enjoy relationship .

lol i guess you havent seen youtube these days, it makes WAAAAAAY less these days, why allmost all youtubers are streaming these days because youtube is making so much less... animating and sketches are basicly pointless and lose you money unless you make quick short ones, look at college humor, spitting out one every 3 days, and animators like rubber ross, egoraptor, etc quitting to do lets plays, and even stream now

heck animators are even streaming now to be able to make something of a profit....

so yeah it looks like he did, but in no way was he "selling keys" he gave a key to someone who donated ,to some it looks like he "sold it" to some its just he liked the picture, we wont know for sure unless he admits "i gave it to him because he donated"

the thing in question is somone donated with a link to their screenshot, he said he liked it, and gave them a key, thats it, then he stopped looking at donators links and told them to stop, and just to post them to his twitter, some say he did it cause "he paid him" and others say "he liked it" in my opinion he did it cause he liked it

the guy allready donated ,he dident need to give him anything, the only benefit to giving him the key after allready having his money would be to promote other people to donate for keys, but as we see, he then told people not to donate to link screenshots, and also stopped, so it seems like he had NO REASON to give him that key, other then if he liked the picture

This right here. Popular streamers like Swifty have shown to be time and time again exempt from the TOS. I remember a good while back when he organised an event he knew would clog up and even crash servers which is a straight-up bannable offence. Blizzard talked a tough game on his ban...for about 24 hour hours then rolled over like a frightened puppy when he sent his fanboy army in to whine incessantly on the forums.

So yeah nothing will happen here. Even shamelessly selling keys will not net him any significant punishment. It's one rule for the players and another rule for the "famous" streamers because netting the slightest bit of publicity for Blizzard makes you like teflon when it comes to any sort of punishment.

I gave up on WoW and the dev team a long time ago, so glad I did. I cancelled my account over a year ago (once again, glad I did). I find it amusing they sent me an alpha invite to Legion. I tried it a whopping 2 times, for less than 10 min. If I could give my access away for it, I would.

Hitting back on the subject, this just goes to show the laziness of Blizzard, giving beta keys to streamers that usually stream for donations. Also, hasn't Swifty been banned several times? They used to run their own contests. Such a pity how far they seem to keep falling.\
