Of course not. We are an immensely comfortable country for the most part.

No one is going to get rating running a stories like, "Cop does his job without incident." or "American obeys the law and goes about his day peacefully." But in order for society to even function as it does, the majority must do such. And do, obviously.

I'm just a European outsider looking in so only get glimpses of what's currently occurring regarding racial tensions so am rather ignorant so curious what the consensus is among American members here living in America

The only places where this is an issue are in the mostly poor communities. Which are pretty isolated here in the US.

A lot of this racial tension is centered on African-Americans and law enforcement.

So-called 'bad neighborhoods' are typically only a few blocks in any given city. Even in places trumped up as some kind of American crime-ruled dystopia; Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, etc- are largely inhabited by peaceful & lawful people where violence is largely in pocketed (very poor) areas.


The US will be fine. As I said, the majority live a life of quite reasonable comfort and ease.

I have to assume this is sarcastic since you're consciously avoiding black crime in order to cite "numerous" videos showing white police killing black people (which don't amount to a whole lot comparatively). That and you sound just ignorant.

That other 30% (assuming the accuracy) comprises a lot of other race/ethnicities, 13% of which is black.

I distinctly recall warning a acquaintance of mine (black) away from moving west into certain areas in Pennsylvania because of a large presence of KKK in specific towns. Other parts of the state can make any race/ethnic feel a bit uncomfortable simply because it is all white.

Black people kill a lot of other black people, but every race kills a lot of their own race. It's mainly an issue in poor urban areas no matter the race. Police being brought to justice doesn't address the issues in poor black neighborhoods, that's an entirely different issue.
