GTX 1080 is overkill for WoW even with 1440p. If you're overclocking I suggest this build:

The pc isnt only going to be used for wow but since legion launch is upon us next few months will be mainly wow.
That ssd u suggest was my first pick too but i turned it into a 250 so i lower the cost for now and in a month or 2 when i need extra space i can pick one up.
Or even in case of emergency i got a few hdds on older machines i could put on.

Definetely get 250GB is you have spare storage. Other than that there is not much else to replace here for reduced cost if you want GTX 1080.

Made a few changes from the info and suggestions you guys made and ended up with http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/KW2Bbj so far.
Used a Sandisk ssd before and i was very happy with it the, for the ram i found a nice cheap one as far as i can tell and went for the mobo/power supply suggested here.

Ps: for the screen ive been looking at http://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/X...monitor-pg279q

Looks solid but not for overclocking. Cooler and memory change will hurt you.

And im aiming at 27" because i like having a bit bigger screens +the distance i will be watching it from is around 1.5meters.
ok, i missed that, and when I googled the part number of the monitor I must have clicked the wrong monitor, thoguht it was 1080p. Even still, The 1070 is more than enough overkill for 1440p, especially for WoW:

    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/...070_SC/21.html

You did mention FPS games in your OP, but did not mention specifically which ones. Here's Rainbow Six: Seige though:
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/...070_SC/18.html

and just because I am playing it right now and it's really fun so far, here's a look at The Witcher 3:
    https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/...070_SC/20.html

You can see the 1070 performs more than adequately in all these games and if WoW is what you play the most, even the 1070 is far more than enough. Really up to you in the end, obviously, but I think getting the 1080 is just wasting money.

Sorry i managed to miss it at quoting earlier i had a pretty bad experience with a dell a few years back and left a terrible taste so im trying to avoid them although this monitor is good both spec wise and on looks so im still keeping it in mind

The cooler is going to be changed after a while its mostly placeholder to keep price under 1500 worst case scenario if it cant handle overclocking for now cpu stays as is from box and ill do it when new cooler arrives and for the memory im told its solid.

Wow is only one of the many games going to be the main game played for a few months with legion after that it goes back to its cage and ill be playing games like battlefield 1 when it comes out cod/gta/witcher/far cry/just cause assassins creed some games on top of my mind atm +any other mmosrpgs.

It's a good deal but it's far from the best, especially considering an overclocking system.

Have you got any more jokes this morning? Go have some coffee dude. 150watts over what will be used in full load is not enough headroom? 27% headroom under full load which will happen only a few times? So he will overclock the cpu and will draw what 10-20watts more? Unless he will go for max gpu overclocks, thats another thing but still won't break it.

Funny about the mobos, cause even the cheapest Z170 mobo can overclock and the silicon lottery will have more impact on how much-easy you can overclock than even spending 500$ on a mobo.

No joking here. Overclocked i7 with overclocked GTX 1080 with all the standard stuff (3 120mm case fans, gaming kb+mouse, hdd+ssd) is easily over 500W power in gaming situation. I would advice 750W 80+ Gold for 980Ti.

On motherboards and overclocking - most mobos work well with CPU overclocking (a lot of them even have preset one-click options) but the main problem is always the way XMP profiles interact with an overclocked processor (mostly settings that help make it stable under load while overclocked) and ASUS is know to have big problem with that on all of mid-range boards and are rated only up to 3400 DDR4 memory, while most of the competition can handle 3866(Single channel)/3600(Dual channel). Not to mention the fact that they are overpriced.
