No, I lied. We needed the ACA to get a healthcare reform through that the Republicans wouldn't stonewall considering it was a Republican scheme.

    So much for 'compromise'.

Does Jill Stein have the same policies as Bernie? I'd vote for her if she does. Also, woman president vs woman president. Either way, someone will be the first woman US president. Trump can eat a bag O dicks.

If Bernie wasn't able to get sufficient popular traction to win the DNC, what on earth makes you think Stein has a chance.

The Bernie Bros are fucking ridiculous, I swear.

To be honest, the best thing to do is throw your support behind Gary Johnson. Forget clinton & trump.

Not really. Green Party gets pretty damn kooky sometimes.

No third party candidate has had and will have a chance at the Presidency until one of the major parties dissolves or loses the majority of its supporters.

And those that don't have the nomination from a major party also have no chance.

Third party votes are wasted votes. So, no.

Third party candidates have no chance in a first-past-the-post political system. History has shown that in any democracy that uses first-past-the-post, two major parties always emerge. Over time those parties can change (the US has had Federalists, Democratic-Republicans and Whigs be the leading parties) but this happens when a party collapses and a new one emerges, not when a third party beats them in an election.

Yeah if you want to see a substantial shift in US politics your best bet is to push the friendliest party as hard as you can during the primary season and then actually show up to support them when the general rolls around. Then do it again the next cycle. Its how the Tea Party pushed the GOP so far to the right.

Eh, I stay away from the far ends of news media these days and it doesn't help that I just read an article on Huffpo a few days ago where a sheltered white girl who thought "not participating" in discussions about racism meant that she wasn't racist went on a rant about how once her bubble was broken, white people are now no longer allowed to call themselves colorblind.

Yeah, welcome to the real world honey.

Too late, Republicans already have a stranglehold on that policy. Look at what they have done with the Housing bubble, Graham-Leach-Bliley Act was written and passed by Republicans.

I'm still curious why you chose as an avatar the symbol of an avowed socialist internationalist party if you are mostly an incrementalism and centrism kinda of guy.
