So does anyone know if they got some sort of practice Pokeball throw app or something? I'd like to practice my throwing a bit .. but not at the cost of Pokeballs in the game. Tried searching but found nothing, just figured I'd ask here if I just wasn't looking hard enough.

Sadly I have gotten to the point where my bags are full, so I have to practice just to get space for more lol

So it didn't take long for the crazy as religious nuts to call out Pokemon GO! This guy thinks Pokemon are Digital Demons out to get Christians everywhere.

Someone posted about an app called Charity Miles. Basically raises money for a charity based on how far you walk/bike.

I just picked it up so not sure how well it works with GO, but it seems like a good thing to be doing while you walk around catching monsters.

Went out to dinner for my Mother in Laws birthday last night. Not a total loss, I caught a Ponyta.

I did take down 3 Racer 5 IPAs, and to my wife's embarrassment I yelled out the window when we passed the park "Go team Valor"

Wish I was in that boat with Pokeballs. I go to my local hotspot everyday to collect. Little spot with 4 Pokestops with all day lure drops literally side by side so I am constantly using Pokeballs. The 4 stops themselves are not enough of a ball dispenser. I shamefully admit to so far spending 30$ on just Pokeball refills. Really want to perfect my aim so I do not waist any of them.

When even Darwin plays PoGo, the hype is real.

    The purge has begun.

    Hah.

No problems all morning so I'm like "let's put a lure out for lunch break."

    ...and it goes to shit.

I'm nailing oranges today with 1 throw and that never happens.
I'm finding that with higher CP, my normal balls are getting stronger.

I'm not sure why but my golduck is incredibly overpowered relative to pokemon with the same CP.
His water gun seems to stun lock the enemy with chain staggers.

To increase your catch chance, and actually gets a little better XP. Try throwing curve balls.

When you start a battle to catch one.. instead of just trying to throw the ball straight forward, swirl your finger around in small circles while holding the pokeball. After a second or two, the ball will start to glitter with stars... if you slide your finger up the screen (up and right if you are spinning counter-clockwise, up and left if you spinning clockwise) you will have a stronger catch. And curve balls give extra exp. As a side note: While doing the spinning, pay attention to the green/yellow/orange circle that is growing and shrinking on the pokemon.. smaller circles (with proper aim) increase catch chance.

Hope this helps. GO TEAM MYSTIC!

None of this has been confirmed afaik. The curve ball xp is overwritten by nice throw, great throw and excellent throw. They're not additive, which suggests that you can't get a curve ball and a great throw bonus at the same time, in which case a straight great or excellent throw would simply be easier and thus better. Everything concerning increasing catch chance on any special throws are theory only and my personal statistics do not point towards a significant increase. I fail or succeed a catch equally often.

Yeah but it you hold A (and/or B) and Down as you throw your pokeball it turns into a masterball that can't fail. Also Onyxia Deep Breathes more.

I fucking knew it. First the media moral panic from the militaristic nationalists and the socialists, then the statists rush in to crush innovation with the government gun.

Not really an app per se but there is a hidden game within facebook messenger app you can use. Send yourself a basketball emoji, then touch it with your finger and a small minigame will appear. In which you can train throwing basketballs with swiping your finger. Best emulation of throwing pokeballs you can get!

    Ehhhhhhhhhh

One assemblyman considering legislation, big whoop.

Al Franken being justifiably concerned over the initial privacy concerns surrounding the iOS version have already been addressed by the update. His other concerns about what user information in general Niantic is pulling are valid as well, Niantic is potentially pulling a ludicrous amount of personal information given that they are tracking peoples real world locations constantly, and what they do is actually a potential concern.

Enhance your calm, John Spartan. Though at the same time, there are legitimate, justifiable concerns overall on the part of the government about the impact of the game on its citizens/economy etc. as well.

Good read about some of the potential/real issues and how it impacts the real world etc.

Depends on what you're looking to get out of it. If all you want to do is catch some pokemans and dick around, it's great. If you're expecting some super deep pokeman simulator with tons and tons of varying gameplay presented through the phone rather than through your interactions with others IRL, it's probably going to be awful.

I caught a red circle Dragonair CP 376 with a regular Pokeball, but I curved it. Curving seems to drastically increase your chances of catching the Pokemon.
