Yes, we know. That doesn't mean americans, in general, care. While you're technically correct, it's not like people in the US care about being factually correct, just "correct."

Only sorta. Asian in the US tends to mean east asian. Western asia is more commonly referred to as indian/middle eastern. Even though we apparently won the math competition, we suck at geography.

I have to be completely honest it took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize that those guys actually were the american team. At first I thought this was like a shot of all the contestens from different countries like china, india, japan etc. posing for a picture of a having a good time at doing math

    Why are there no girls/women?

Less then 10% of the military actually "fight". Most of it is made up of support positions. Infact if you get into the right MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) you can easily land a 6 figure job when you get back into the civilian world. Plenty of execs and CEO's in fortune 500 company's that are prior military too.
Contrary to every 12 year olds belief......the military is mostly non-combat units and call of duty doesn't give you "experience" or knowledge.

There are a lot of really good public schools in the US as well, you just have to avoid the inner cities where there is a lot of poverty.

If, to get as fast as a house the mouse had to move to the horse barn, then I'd say it is the horse barn that allowed it to be so fast, not it being a mouse.

Their scores weren't high enough for placement. At least I'm guessing there was a placement exam, at least.

You folks know being American is a nationality not a race? America is a melting pot of races, we have alot of them. Still don't understand why race is so important in this post. Grats to those kids for bringing home the win!

Good at math doesn't mean much.

It is no different from getting the most medals in Olympics.
