Those that got killed mostly had guns, those that didn't, I doubt many of them died, unless it was the typical collateral damage.

You keep spreading that BS since yesterday and it's still wrong. The armed forces can be used as the garantee of democratic practices in a nation, even if the "elected leadership" is moving to authoritarism.

Well yeah, and if he goes and execute all these soldiers, the next coup won't be far off.

Taking a dictator out via elections, hahaha, are you like 12?

The only way in history that dictators ever have been removed was through their deaths/assassinations.

The Turkish military has greatly disappointed me. They had a perfect chance to return Turkey to Attaturk's vision, but they failed to do so. This will just lead to the further slide of Turkey away from what made them successful.

What? Are you twelve and know nothing about the 20th Century?

8 Turkish military took a black hawk chopper and land to Alexandroupolis calling mechanical malfunction reasons in order to enter our FIR. They were escorted by two F-16s.
They later asked for political asylum.

The Turkish FM called them traitors and asked Athens to hand them over. Athers is currently examining the request.

Since I also noted if the coup had succeeded it was the end of democracy I am not sure what you think your little diatribe is aimed at. No end to yesterday was good for Turkey.

But I note if you take away the the systems that allow for a democracy as Erdogan is doing no election will remove him as he won't permit it. But unfortunately Turkey is going to learn this the hard way.
What are we gonna do now? Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?
'Cause they're working for the clampdown
They put up a poster saying we earn more than you!
When we're working for the clampdown
We will teach our twisted speech To the young believers
We will train our blue-eyed men To be young believers

    13% of the vote.

    13%

And no, I haven't called him a dictator. I've said he's heading that way. Try to keep up.

But on a more serious note: There is so much different/contrdicting/unclear information going around regarding this, it's unreal. What a mess.
If you have 2 contradicting informations about a matter, it's a given that the US one is always the lie.

Its getting crazy. I'd like to think that any antics involving the US airbase are just precautions, and that power is restored soon.

Yeah, but the West usually associates -stan countries with Islam, which Greece clearly isn't.

He got 13%. The rest came from a retarded voting system where any candidate who gets less than 10% will automatically concede them to the ones with a higher percentage.

Would you really mind if some Turkish coup elements ran off with a tactical nuke and dropped it on Erdogan's palace?
