If you think people in the past were different, you should read a bit of history. Entire wars were waged just because a couple of churches disagreed on how people should cross themselves. I prefer people expressing their being offended by a Twitter/Facebook/blog post, rather than bloodbath.

One thing I notice about the younger generation these days is that a lot of them are self entitled little brats. I work in radiology at a local hospital and we get a lot of radiology students from a local university that do their clinicals there. Each new class that comes through every year, they all get lazier and lazier and expect more and more to just be handed to them. They don't want to put any effort into their work and then get pissed when you mark them down on their competencies they have to complete for a grade. And each new class becomes more and more mouthy too, thinking they know more about the job than the technologists who have been at it for years now.

And I've heard this is becoming a trend at several other radiology programs in the region (as well as nursing programs). Kids nowadays don't want to work as hard as they use too and expect everything handed to them on a silver platter. And when they don't get it, they go onto social media and bitch about how unfair the world is.

I think it has more balls than anything else. The current generation actually stands up for what it believes in rather than just "dealing with it" or whatever. That takes balls.

I disagree. All the "activism" that is common in recent memory has been little more than mob mentality. No one really knows what they stand up for, but everyone else does, so they do too.

There is nothing courageous about not knowing why you are apart of "a movement."

People seem to get offended by the most weirdest things possible lately.
