My Next PC Primary Gaming Goals Wow @ Ultra 1080p

I am currently saving money and waiting for some price drops to Build a new gaming rig that would be superior to what I already have and be able to Run Warcraft @ Ultra settings at 1080P.

Here is what I am thinking.

    Fractal Design White Silent Midtower
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811352052

    Asus Z170-A LGA 1151 Intel Z170
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813132566

    G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 16GB *2x8GB*
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231875

Corsair CX - M series CX750m 750 Watt Power Supply
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139051

    i5 6600k Skylake
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819117561

Some kind of GTX 1080 for now I have this in my wishlist (PNY Founder's Edition)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133629

Current Total Price Excludes Aftermarket Cooler for CPU, Thermal paste , Monitor, Mouse and keyboard and DVD Drive or speakers and headset. I already have Speakers, a headset, A tv I use as a monitor and a mouse and keyboard. I also already have 2 storage devices a 7200 Rpm Hard drive and a Solid State Drive. I am good on the OS too Windows 10 Home 64.

    Total:$1,386.83

By the time I go to buy For sure the prices and availability will be different. Anything I could Swap out to save money such as the psu or RAM?

I really like the case and I think an i5 is for me unless the AMD Zen Processors come out and are affordable + earn a good reputation. I use to be an AMD fan but the FX lineup all use too much power and perform worse than i5 in most situations. I really really want that case specifically. This buildwould wipe the floor with what I have right now.

My current Old Budget Rig: AMD FX 4100 3.6 GHZ Quad Core, Radeon R7 370 2 GB, 8 GB G.Skill Ripjaws , Samsung Evo SSD 260 GB, Western Digital blue 500 GB, Windows 10 Home 64 , MSI 890FXA GD70 Board, Antec Eco 640 Watt Psu.

PSU is bad. Good Corsair PSUs are RM, RMx, AX. Other than that looks fine. I wouldnt suggest ASUS Z170-A if you're on a tight budget, it's pretty overpriced for its set of features. I really hope you're overclocking with this kind of setup.

CXM 450/550/650 are actually pretty good, however ignore all the other CXs.

It's an ok budget choice. Definetely not for an overclocking system.

the graphics card is really the decider of the price. With a GTX 1070 the i5 build is 1,014 and 988 in the Amd build that is a difference of just 28 bucks and with a cheaper board the i5 build probably be even lower cost to that of the 8370 build.

@OP This is not a budget build. Primary focus for gaming is a processor. You are using a weak processor, an expensive case and an expensive videocard. I'll just link you a build and you tell me you dont like about it.

Reusing your SSD. Define R5 is a good case but I think it's a bit too much for this kind of build.

I already have a western digital too I don't need any storage devices otherwise it looks very good and they're cheaper cpu Coolers with good reviews.

Currently I have 2 wishlists on newegg an intel / GTX 1070 Build for 1,043.92 and an AMD 8370 Build with RX480 and a cheaper case *39.99* for a Grand Total of 718.92. 325 dollars less than the Intel/Nvidia Build. Of course I am heavily leaning a configuration with an i5 over any Processors offered right now by AMD.

GTX 1080 is a complete waste at 1080p. Go for 1070, if you pick up 1080 shoot for 1440p.

This HDD is dirt cheap if you need extra storage though. This price can be heavily reduced if you dont plan on overclocking and with a cheaper case though.

I hear you yes I now realize I don't need a 1080. 1070 should be more than fine.

I just bought this case for a budget build for my cousin with half used parts I already had. I only paid $39.99 two weeks ago, it's up to $49.99 now. It's a great case, holds a lot of fans, has plenty of room, and was really easy to build in and looks decent without being too boring or too over the top lame. If you love the white case though, feel free to splurge on it. It's a good feeling to enjoy looking at your case and have it be as much a visual piece as it is a utility

    I used this motherboard.

    And this CPU.

I got the mobo and CPU for $287.98 as a combo deal, and it had a $20 mail-in rebate so it totaled $267.98. I would always stick with Intel CPUs for gaming, they are just plain better processors. WoW is so CPU dependent, you want a good overclocked i5. Not like the one I bought, my uncle wanted super cheap. He wanted me to re-use my original Core i7-975 Extreme but I convinced him to spend a few extra bucks and I could swing the Skylake lol.

I definitely would not go with any reference cards. Nvidia's blower coolers are good, but third party double and triple fan options are much better. The Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1070 for $429.99 mentioned above is a perfect card for maxing out 1080p at a great price.
