Current male draenei already look fat to me, so no. I'd rather have slimmer options for some races (especially humans).

Yeah, if anything I'd say it looks a lot more natural especially from the side. Isn't that just stronger muscles across the belly anyway? Looks reasonable to me but I can understand if they had a few issues with armor clipping or w/e
