Exclamation Canadian heat warning enters 3rd day

That's 87F for practitioners of the best measurement system.

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa...y-22-1.3690616

The heat wave continues into a third day as we hit the point where humidity leads to rain in Ottawa-Gatineau.

Friday's weather forecast calls for sunny skies, then a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. The afternoon also brings a risk of a thunderstorm.

The west wind should reach 20 kilometres per hour in the morning as the high makes its way to 31 C, with the humidex at 37. The humidex was already 31 at 6 a.m.

Also note the very high UV index of 9, which means sunscreen is again important.

Overnight, clouds remain with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm. A northwest wind at 20 km/h should ease off as we hit a low of 18 C.

Your weekend starts in a similar fashion. Saturday's forecast has a mix of sun and cloud and a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon, along with the risk of a thunderstorm.

The high is 27 C with the humidex at 33.

Sunday also calls for a high of 27 C with sunny skies as rain could hit late Sunday night.

Next week begins with a high of 29 C and a chance of rain.

It's summer and the heat continues.

Seriously? 31C?(87F) It's been ~36C(97F) in my town for the past week. Grow some balls ya northern nutters.

Also, why the fuck are you posting about the weather?
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

I feel really bad for our northern neighbors. Those snow people, called Canadians in the common tongue, who hail from the frozen land of Canadia. Ever seen that poor polar bear suffering in the crappy zoo in the heat? That's the nightmare our Celsius cousins are going through. Stay safe!

And for the love of wind chill! If you're a Canadian ginger, DO NOT GO OUTSIDE. In that heat you'll burst into flames instantly.

Every month this year has been the hottest in the instrument record globally - not just Canada. Get used to it.

I knew it would be something silly low, but in the 80s? Really, Canada? For shame.

I love dry heat but ended up in the hospital once because of dehydration.

I thought I was drinking enough water but I was obviously wrong.

Yeah, keep yourself hydrated. At work (restaurant), I've walked around with an instant-read thermometer and found an area that is usually about 140F (60C). I usually make homemade gatorade... ice water, some salt, and some lemon and cranberry juice. Helps a lot.

As a man from Québec, I say...yes and no I would prefer a mild summer but a less cold winter (but still under 0 C to get some snow). So nothing under -20 C or over 20 C. Sadly, it is a dream.

Anyone who had to deal with Michigan weather, especially winter for more than 1 year would say no. I seriously don't get how people can enjoy living here, this weather is both volatile and miserable.
