If anyone wants to kid themselves into thinking that the Republicans stance on global warming has nothing to do with their ties to the oil industry go ahead. Religious zealots heading the science advisory board is for purely political reasons not scientific purposes.

The GOP also coddles the NRA which is essentially a lobby for gun manufacturers. 75% of NRA support improved background checks yet they were voted down.

As people have pointed out both sides do this but only Clinton has stated she'll support a constitutional amendment to overturn citizens united. Meanwhile we're still waiting for Trump to release his tax returns.

Seriously? Have you not been paying attention to both Republican and Democratic appointments for the past 35+ years?

Obama did it. GW Bush did it. Clinton did it. GHW Bush did it. Reagan did it.

I'm less certain if Carter did it or not (you didn't need the massive fund raising back then that you need today), but it would be surprising if he did.

If you want to be outraged, at least do it over something that only Democrats do...not over something both groups do all the time...

People will still vote for her. They are idiots.

    Trump is also an idiot.

We really need to force a three party system. Or just rework the entire thing.

What the fuck is new here? We have known about this for years and years, but no one wants to do anything to stop it. We're an oligarchy.

Wanting to vote Trump because Clinton is self interested and for no other reason is about the most stupid thing you can do. All this is really about are a bunch of first time voters throwing a fit because they live in a democracy and for the first time in their lives didn't get what they wanted, even though they lost both the superdelegates and the popular vote.

Remember, Trump's standing policy should he become president is to give control of actual affairs of state over to the Republican party via the VP and then bask in 4 years of being president without doing any work. Voting Trump does not get you out of the "establishment."

I feel like this whole election has been a bet between Hillary and Trump racing each other for who can be the more stereotypical candidate. Trumps "raging lunatic" persona was really taking the lead there with his antirapist Wall, but Hillary and her "corrupt unlikeable robot politician" spiel is gaining fast!

Stakes are high for Hillary, this may be the first election where a major candidate was running with the intention of prosecuting their competition if they won, and not to mention actually have several legitimate cases against them. Of course, it would behoove you to believe that Hillary will lie about anything on the way there to avoid jail time.

A person changing their opinion on a controversial subject is not that strange. What was Trumps stance on abortion 10 years ago?

And what will happen if she changes her stance on every point in the DNC platform if she gets elected?

Maybe the same group will hack the RNC and release all their emails and everyone can feign shock and awe at the contents. This of course is assuming the hacker isn't republican in nature, seeing as how over the past 2 months he has only hacked democratic targets.

She loses the 2020 election by a landslide and loses out on four years of the presidency? I thought the argument of this thread is that she's interested in obtaining power, so this argument is backwards at best.
