The Japanese don't even do "lol". They do "w".

There are lots of obscure memes from Japan that we don't know, and vice versa. Could be anything off of 2ch that only weebs that speak Japanese fluently would understand.

This is another funny example of the Japanese language using verbs where the English equivalent is an adjective. Ukeru literally translates to “to take,” but in slang-lang is used as a reaction to something that is funny. It’s in the verb category although it’s more of an interjection

Honestly, I might be a bit biased in knowing what comes afterwards and all that. I think it might be something that people will either hate (I can think of a couple people this'll likely be right now) or people will love it (more than will hate, imo). It does kinda depend on how well they do it. If they really did start the episode before all others and have poured effort into it to get it just like the LN or even WN, it'll be a fairly defining episode for Subaru.

If all of that is locked behind more Subaru being Subaru a lot of people probably won't like it. I can deal with it, I still think people are exaggerating, but I definitely welcome some character developement coming his way.

Apparently, the next episode of Re:Zero is being hyped with massive posters in Japan. Also going to be nothing but content and no OP/ED and they apparently started work on this episode before any others to make sure it was "perfect".

Honestly, if there is one part of the series I hope they don't change, it'd be what'll be in the next episode. If they do it right, it should be great.

Also, I know people keep going on about how annoying Subaru is and so on but, this arc is literally the "Subaru's Character Progression arc". Granted, you won't really feel the full effect of that until the end of the season, tbh...

It's also going to be longer than the average episode by a couple minutes, even with taking out the OP/ED.

See I go both ways: I'm fine with whatever BS they throw at me...so long as they establish this BS in their world. That's why kabaneri sorta annoyed me on it's first episode and I can't let it drop: The people were so paranoid of a possible bitten man they were about to execute him instead of following procedures via imprisoning, but they'll let a train full of kabaneri straight in without verifying that people were still on it
