The Democrats have been saying that though. If they aren't making a big fuss over it at this exact second, it's because it's pretty much taken for granted that it's a problem and needs addressing. I don't really think Sanders stands out much at all in regards to science. Maybe compared to a specific candidate, but he's pretty much in line with the party he joined on that area overall.

Ok, basically his other ideas are the only way people start taking things like science more seriously, so it's not directly exactly what is being said, but change is the only way it will happen, because politicians, dumb politicians right now are making those vital decisions.

No, not at all. You can vote any way you want. Just be prepared to accept the consequences of doing so. You can be assured that the right (hard core conservatives) will vote for Trump. It's only the left that generally stick to their ideals despite the consequences.

It's a two horse race. You can pretend that it's not but it is. Voting third part of not voting are pretty much the same thing. Just don't cry foul when you get nothing for decades to come.
