thought canadians were supposed to be nice people, police in almost every country are abusive to people i got shop liftin once when i was a teenager this was about 17 years ago and i had a black eye and broken wrist and im from UK and what i took = less than £8 so its not like was stealing a dreamcast etc

You are confusing American police policies of shoot first, shoot later, shoot some more and then if the black guy who may or may not even be the suspect is still alive try and ask a few questions with the difficulties Canadian police are having dealing with mentally ill patients who end up on their own or with not enough supervision or hospital space to keep them due to cutbacks in healthcare

That's odd, because I remember the Michael Moore documentary that Canada was the land of fully embracing people of color.
