80% of earth inhabitants live in countries poorer than say, Mexico.
The gross majority of the people living in extreme poverty aka less than 2$/day live in Africa, which also happen to be the country with the biggest demographic growth in the next century. (3 billions in 2060 vs 1 billions right now)

Sharing wont do shit because almost everyone is poor, there is nothing to "share" without making everyone poor. The problem of world poverty cannot be solved by feel-good socialism.
