It's not an absolute rule but it definitely applies to the majority. The several exceptions occur when you have the chance to spend a lot of time with that person without any pre-existing goal to form a romantic bond with him/her. If you manage to know that person so well and such persona "attracts" you than looks start to become irrelevant.

Well, to me, the looks are almost completely irrelevant. I don't know why, but I just don't see people as bodies - I see them as minds. I must have played too many fantasy games in my childhood, with all those ghosts and such.

Still, he offerred a "guideline" that worked (somehow) for Berlusconi and would work for Trump too:

-Do the exact contrary of what we did here in Italy;
-Do not demonize Trump as we demonized Berlusconi; don't let him torment nor hypnotize you, as you would only strenghten him;
-Hold the often strong temptation of consider him a comical character;
-Do not even take him too much seriously when he says the unspeakable. He does that only to draw attention;
-Rather, force him to be concrete about his proposals. Therefore, compel him to be boring;
-Do not believe that his populism will fall flat and he'll not be elected.

I have no intention to bring politics here, just showing how much we have "learned".

Pretty sure this is what will take place when presidential debates start. I have no idea how he is going to get through them, really... Clinton knows how to make a point and call someone on trying to avoid a serious answer. The debates should be quite a sight!
