I've been groped by drunk chicks an unlimited amount of times. It's a minor inconvenience at most.

It's different when girls get groped. They're weaker both physically and emotionally so it ends up ruining their lives, so it's best to not do it.

Nope, it is science saying this.

No, science doesn't say crimes done by minors are less serious than if an adult did them

Having read all the information given in the post, I believe the 1st judge was correct in his decision of not guilty based on 2 reasons:
1: The girl smiling and giggling in the video gives reason to believe that she misled the boy into thinking what he was doing as alright by her.
2: After they went off camera, it became a "he said, she said" battle and since the article mentions no witnesses, its hard to believe either of their stories.

That being said, there is simply not enough information given for me to pass judgement on anyone in this case. They didn't even mention the boys point of view.

Yeah, that kid comitted sexual assault. He probably won't do hard time because he's a kid, but community service (a LOT) and some mandatory classes on how not to behave like a giant dickweed are definitely in order.

Science does say however that minors are significantly less responsible and are yet to develop the amount of judgement and maturity that adults have.

In the same way we grant lenience to obviously mentally ill people, we grant lenience to children.

wasn't the girl fending off the boy with a water bottle, after the boy pushed her against a wall, on the video?

Yes it most certainly does! Brains of minors are not fully developed yet, this means that most often they do not realize what they are doing. So it is not done as a malicious act but simply a brain fart. That does make crimes done by minors less serious, why do you think children are treated differently by the court? for shits and giggles?? Stop embarrassing your self and go read up on the subject before spouting this nonsense.

So a kid murdering someone is less serious than an adult murdering someone? No, the result is the same, someone was murdered and it is as serious when a kid does as when an adult does it, it does not make it less serious what they did
You don't hurt others by a brain fart

No, science doesn't disagree with me at all, you just claim it does but it doesn't

Yeah but a this is a 15, almost 16 year old. Little shits know better than to grope someone unwillingly, yet they still did it consciously.

That doesn't make his brain fully developed in any way. You do know what a brain fart is??

it's really more a societal construct that over time has gained scientific support. you can get different societal constructs with scientific support too if you want.

Brain fart is when you forget something and it causes embarassment, not make you commit a crime

No, according to the article that happened off camera.

It's not a strawman. It's fact. With all the information kids are bombarded with while their brains might not be fully developed, they are developed enough to make an educated judgement. This whole "it's not the kid's fault" mentality is just the typical need to treat them with kid gloves which in turn blames the parents for the actions of the child when the parents have their hands tied by society on how they can discipline their child.

I'm convinced the OP has a serious issue and should seek psychological therapy. Every day, a different thread....but they're always the same thing. When all you can talk about is one topic all day long, you might need an intervention or something.

A brain fart is forgetting your keys on the counter, groping someone unwillingly is not. Most developed societies with standard morals know from a very young age that random people touching you is bad -- at the very least a stranger. You don't need a fully developed mind to understand this simple concept.
