Agents of Shield also has way more episodes than the netflix shows, so there is alot more filler.

I don't think Shield has ever really had a good overall season long story arc.

Shield would probably be a better show if it was only a 13 or so episode season because they could focus up a bit more. Because they have to spread if over 20 some odd, some if it gets deluded. Honestly, I still enjoy it but it's more because of the characters really. Ward, May, Coulson, Skye, Fitz/simmons, Mack are all awesome.

I do agree that Bobbi and Hunter were overrated. I'm honestly kind of happy they are gone.

I agree about Coulson and the Fitz/Simmons couple. Acting and character development of everyone else is at least superficial.

You're not allowed to discuss conspiracy theories on mmo-champion, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide.

But at least we now know it's not a current cast member being director.

Maybe he's the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond? I think it could play well with
    LMD's being around now.

Hammond was my first guess, he's already been (sortof) shown in the MCU.

Yeah, we caught a glimpse of him in the First Avenger.

And he was a police detective (in the old comics), so he'd fit in somewhat.

Maybe they're re-retconning Nick Fury back to a white male!

If they were going to do that, why would they need a new actor when the old one is probably still available?

Network TV can't afford The Hoff

I dunno, because maybe they want one who can actually act.

Although I believe Eric Dane would make a good Nick Fury, I think he even looks the part.

I would predict Rick Stoner (the first Director of SHIELD), who would be a "by the book" counter to Coulson/Fury. Or Thaddeus Ross to set up for Red Hulk/Hulkbusters.

MCU already has a Thaddeus Ross, William Hurt.

My bad. I forgot that he was in Civil War. The Hulk movies, and their actors, are essentially in continuity, but not MCU. It's a weird situation with them.

    That's a good choice.
And he'd be more "active" than Jackson.

I'm pretty sure the Ed Nortion Hulk is MCU. They sure referenced it in the first Avengers film.

So is the Ang Lee one. They happened, but in a vague past sort of way. The Ed Norton referenced the Ang Lee one as prior events (to skip the backstory necessity), but not in specifics. Similarly the Ed Avengers reference the Hulk's past, but were not as explicit as usual.

Just my opinion that the Hulk is a little odd in the MCU as previous movies are in continuity, but are a little less concrete. Kind of like how the new Spider-man will be. The prior movies are not continuity, but the events more or less exist, specifically that Uncle Ben died but the villains are not clear.
