Using the tooltip of the loadingscreen for something else entirely is nothing new.
One of my fondest memories of playing vanilla is when i was about level 20, questing in redridge and uppon login saw the following tooltip:
"A paladin, a priest and a dreadlord walk into a bar..."

They lost a whole bunch of the loading screen tips because they removed the abilties or functions they referred to.... had to replace it with something so you wouldn't see the same 2 tips in rotation.
When I was younger I used to hope bad things wouldn't happen.
Now I just hope they're at least funny when they do.

I was doing some shopping the other day and I paid with my ATM card and when I was done, a little message popped up on the device and it said: "Have a nice day!" In that moment, I just knew the company was mocking me while taking my hard earned money and that they were soulless, lying, evil plotting, children devouring, desperate villains. I felt so helpless.
