I also have thin hair, but my hairdresser has an amazing product. The only one I use, it doesn't stick, doesn't gloss and keeps shape incredibly.
Which product is that? I been looking for something that doesn't paste my hair to my head, but keeps it in place as well.

Not sure why I decided to waste 15 minutes of my day reading up on man braids as a female, but whatever. lol
Not my thing. But like most things, if you can pull it off, rock that shit hard as hell.

long and styled/interesting on top and shaved low on the sides/back is really the "it" thing. Like the david beckham one.

As a man, gives you some of that "who the F cares just throw some goo in and go" ease with the "omg my wife loves it" style.

Pompador is what a hair stylist will call it.

FYI manliness or femininity is not defined by your hair - it's by your attitude & confidence. Any "man" who says otherwise is just a boy pretending to be a man.

ROCK and just own what you like. Do you.

The same reason you wasted time looking up bacon or whatever it was that one time ;p

I don't understand braids honestly. I mean, I just let my hair grow personally, and it does this wavy/curly thing that I just go with. But when it starts to jab me in the eyes, I'll get it trimmed. Never, ever shaved.

Me too. I shave my head and let it grow long. I like having a shaved head. Easy to shampoo and shower fast.

Go to a stylist (read: an actual stylist, not a $20 walk in whenever you want hairdresser), they'll be able to give you advice based on your hair/head. They aren't even that much more expensive, especially if you're a guy. I pay about $38 for my haircut which includes a shampoo and tip.

Bacon tattoos I like braids, but they are meh on me personally. A side braid looks OK, but I braid my hair very rarely.

    That looks horrible.

I imagine guys that have hair like that get called faggots. A lot.

This one. I've shopped around for products for years, never really finding anything that did what I needed, but I've stuck around with this one for 4 years now. It's the best I've tried, lasts about 1.5-2 months of almost daily use (I think I use it 20-25 times per month).

I even use it when wearing a cap sometimes and it holds texture and doesn't grease up my cap.

You do need to make sure your hair is completely dry when using it. If it's wet it won't apply well enough. It comes off easily when washing your hair as well (I've used gel/wax products that were a pain to wash off...).

It might be a bit pricy, but it's an absolute quality product that I haven't yet found a cheaper alternative for.

I have very thick hair and a cow lick. Any stylists or blokes with a bit more hair knowledge than I do care to give some advice?

What do you tend to ask for?
I do not understand why people only use an electric clippers. It looks very unrefined. More and more men go to salons now. Not the army barbers of the past that only know one haircut. People that studied cosmetology

34 for a salon here with student discount. That's a high end one. Includes shoulder and head massage, hot face towel, shampoo and conditioner. Spend up to an hour on your hair

    Why not...

    Downside: requires hair.
Not many men have hair past 30s.

Get one of these. Completely forgot what it's called.

It's the most douchey style available at the moment that only a retarded hipster could think was cool.

i know people with cowlicks and thick hair that have these sort of hairstyles, all you need is a tiny bit of gel or mousse ! and the hair cut of course..lol

Short, medium, long... doesn't matter as long as you get a hairstyle that you like and that suits your face and head.

You can safely ignore all these idiots claiming men must have short hair, they're just internet people and of no consequence. In the real world people generally don't give a shit about your hair. Personally I've had about shoulder length (very slightly shorter) for years and in between all the compliments from women you might occasionally get a bit of dislike from balding insecure men.

My point being: Be you, rock whatever hairstyle you want and don't give a shit about other people's opinions. That's about as manly as you can get.

Men can have long hair and many women actually likes it. Bolded parts. Read those carefully

I used to go from medium cut > wavy afro mop in a ~6 month cycle, would get it cut when it started bothering me.

For the past year or so though I've been having it cut more often, going in a 2-3 monthly short > medium cycle, cause I got sick of dealing with long hair maintenance.

I don't bother with styling, I just ask the barber to cut it really short on the sides and a bit longer at the top, but not long enough to style.
