It can in the sense that it is commonly done, but when it is, it is still entirely erroneous in the sense that the person might not (highly unlikely, even) have said something actually racist at all (when talking about cultural groups, that is). Just like the word retard, that is commonly used as a derogative (and is listed in dictionaries as such), but when used in that sense is more often than not used incorrectly in regards to the actual meaning of the word. Ie, people being called it, most often aren't actual retards. Same goes with racism in, for example, your very example.

Yes, yes I know what you're getting at, as was mentioned above, he was of Somali origins.

You are free to believe what you want but the terminology is actually pretty specific and it means something pretty specific.

The answer to that is obviously a no. Banning knives is ridiculous while banning guns is not. Knives have multiple daily positive uses. Guns do not.

Also note the fatality numbers. 1 in this knife attack. 10+ in your typical mass shooting.

The average death count in a Dutch mass shooting is 1.5

Knife crime has always been a problem here, someone got shanked and died at my road once, and also once in the dorm I was staying at.

People really are just letting the terrorists win when you just assume a rando shanking is a terrorist or something. Good job letting them inside your heads.

Oh jeez are people really spinning that line.

Face it, if this had been in a country with less repsonible gun laws the morgue would have been more full. If you don't agree go and do your homework and chores and come back to the discussion in 10 years when you're an adult.

Yes but you have to understand that in the current times, when someone is harmed, even by accident, it was the terrorists. Derp.

'Ban knives'? Are you retarded? What are we supposed to chop vegetables with, dinky plastic things? Yeah ok.

How about 'Ban cars', cus someone can just ram one of those into a crowded area and do far more damage than with a knife, and be on the move afterwards.

    Lol, stupid people.

Article is say there's no evidence of Islam being involved other than the perp was Muslim.

The guy in Orlando who killed the 50 gays, no connection to ISIS there either. Nor at San Bernardino where the guy and his wife killed 14 coworkers.

    Curious.
